served as the environmental consultant
to a large local construction firm
in charge of the restoration of the
Whatcom Creek Estuary in
Bellingham, Washington.
The site location is part of an old solid waste landfill that operated
in Bellingham at the beginning of the
20th century. The estuary serves as a
salmon
migration route and therefore is a sensitive environmental location. WES'
duties included:
Development of the site Construction Work Plan
Development of the site Quality Control Plan
Monitoring of in-water work for excessive turbidity
Testing of site soils for contamination
Testing of Imported fill materials
